Purna Yoga is a comprehensive system that takes into consideration all aspects of a human being, and in fact, Purna means “complete”. When you come to a Purna Yoga class your whole being gets nurtured through asana, pranayama and meditation and you will learn and integrate the teachings of yogic philosophy along with nutrition tips into your daily life.
You will learn how to let go of the ego and start living from the heart. Every class starts with meditation and simple breathing practices after which we move into the physical practice. All asanas (the postures) are done with great attention to the alignment of the body which allows free flow of energy, increases body awareness, strengthens and opens the body in a safe way, challenges you mentally and physically, and helps you to bring the body back in balance. We always finish the class with Shavasana that allows your body to integrate the work you did in the class. In this class you will get a profound understanding of the wholeness of a yoga practice.
