Hi there! My name is Tanja Iovene and I'm an Alignment-based Yoga teacher and a passionate runner.

When I first ventured into the world of yoga in 2010, I was captivated by its graceful physical movements and the challenges it presented. Little did I know that yoga was so much more than just a physical practice. As my journey with yoga has evolved, I've discovered a multitude of benefits that extend far beyond the mat, including increased mindfulness, better stress management, improved sleep, enhanced digestive health, and better decision-making in all aspects of my life.

My yoga journey has led me to a holistic lifestyle that supports my overall well-being. Through dedicated studies and personal experience, I've come to understand the profound impact of movement, meditation, breathwork, and nutrition on human health. This newfound knowledge has empowered me to make choices that promote better physical and emotional health and a profound sense of well-being.

My true passion lies in guiding individuals to take charge of their health and well-being, combining the knowledge of modern science and the ancient wisdom of Yoga. 

I completed my 200 hour Alignment-based yoga training with Tove Palmgren in 2017 and the following year, I did a pre -and postnatal yoga training with Birthlight. 

I’m currently immersed in an advanced 500-hour therapeutic yoga teacher training program with Yoga Medicine, a journey that has expanded my horizons and deepened my understanding of yoga and human anatomy. This training has allowed me to delve into the nuances of yoga, from the intricacies of human anatomy to tailoring yoga practices for specific populations like athletes and people with lower back pain. My commitment to ongoing learning and growth in the world of yoga reflects my dedication to providing my students with the highest quality instruction and guidance. 

In my classes, I guide you through a well-rounded experience where you'll cultivate the skills of slowing down and paying attention. You will learn to observe your body and mind while practicing, creating a more intelligent and transformative yoga practice that will leave you feeling physically strong and free, mentally calm and focused, and in connection with your truest self.

I emphasize correct alignment of the body which strengthens the body-mind connection and allows your mind to stay focused. The combination of alignment in yoga poses, breath work, meditation, and nuggets of yogic philosophy help you to experience the therapeutic benefits of yoga, which you can carry into the real world beyond the mat.

I currently teach group and private yoga classes in Thalwil, Switzerland. I am also available for private yoga classes online and in person in Bellinzona & Lugano areas.
