Alignment-based Hatha Yoga

Alignment-based Hatha yoga classes are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. In these yoga classes, all asanas (the physical postures) are done with great attention to the alignment of the body which allows free flow of energy, increases body awareness, calms the mind, strengthens and opens the body safely and effectively, challenges you mentally and physically, and helps you to bring the body back in balance. Different yoga props will be used in classes to help us access the poses safely and effectively. These classes are suitable for beginners and more experienced yogis.

The class is taught in English.

Happy Hips Yoga Immersion

This two-hour yoga immersion class is dedicated to hip health and well-being. This session is designed to guide you through a series of practices, focusing on enhancing mobility, building strength, and fostering deep relaxation in the hip area. We will use self-MFR techniques, passive stretching, active mobility exercises, traditional yoga poses, and restorative yoga to create a sense of balance in your hips and lightness in your step.

What happens in this yoga class:

  • Self-MFR techniques using massage balls, targeting tightness, pain, and trigger points to enhance tissue elasticity and hydration and promote better movement.

  • Static stretching to soothe and lengthen the muscles. These practices are gentle and aimed at enhancing your flexibility while also triggering the relaxation response which helps to release muscle tension.

  • Active mobility exercises, carefully curated to awaken and energize the hips. These movements are safe and designed to improve your range of motion, reinforcing the connection between stability and flexibility.

  • Traditional Yoga poses specifically chosen to strengthen and open the hips. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, these asanas will challenge and support you, fostering both physical and mental growth.

  • Restorative yoga poses that target hip release. These soothing asanas will not only deepen the sense of relaxation in the hips but also calm the nervous system, leaving you feeling balanced and rejuvenated.
