Yoga retreat in a secluded location high in the hills of Malaga April 24-30, 2022.

It’s springtime baby! Have you noticed how nature is becoming alive? The days are getting longer, there’s more light, trees come back to life and little flowers and plants are emerging from underground. Nature is in bloom! To me, spring is an invitation to spend more time outdoors, get more social, and try out new things which is why I’m so excited about the coming yoga retreat in Spain! Our society is opening up after two years of living with the pandemic. Traveling is easier, people are feeling more relaxed, and somehow it just feels like everything is possible again! We are finally allowed to be surrounded by wonderful human beings and connect with others. To give and to receive new inspiration.

In my honest opinion, there’s not a better way to celebrate all this than to take a vacation that nurtures you from the inside out. Our bodies are craving movement after the winter season, the mind is hungry for new inspiration, and the heart is wanting to manifest the beauty and light it always carries within. This yoga retreat organized by my dear teacher Tove Palmgren is giving us exactly what we need right now: new energy through the practice of yoga asana, meditation, breathing and connecting with like-minded people. Spring is the perfect moment of taking time for yourself so that you can let go of the past and welcome the new season with more clarity, energy, and beauty. It’s amazing how much energy one gets from taking distance from the everyday routines. Just by changing the scenery, doing something new and different allows you to see things in your life from a different perspective.

Spring is the enthusiast child in you,

the shining light in your heart,

the believer, the dreamer, the optimist achiever.

Join us in Spain April 24-30 2022 and get ready to bloom & shine again just like nature does.

I and Tove warmly welcome you to join us for a week of recreation through yoga, meditation, philosophy, restoration, and relaxation at the wonderful Santillán Retreat in Andalusia, Spain. I’m joining Tove for the third time to assist her and will be there to take care of you in class and outside.

During our time at Santillán we will have two daily classes, one in the morning and one before dinner. On Wednesday, the later class will not be on, but instead there will be time for a longer hike to the beach, in the hills or to take a taxi to go sight-seeing in Málaga or just to read and rest. Lunch for those staying and dinner for all will be served that day also.

There are numerous common spaces both indoors and outdoors where you can read, contemplate or socialize. The premises and surroundings are absolutely gorgeous and the view over the Mediterranean is breathtaking. There is a saltwater pool where you can swim or just relax and read on the comfy sun chairs under the warm Spanish sun.

Santillán is set in a secluded location high in the hills about half an hour from Malaga airport. The airport is easily accessible from all parts of Europe and beyond.

The center is amazingly beautiful and has a large yoga room fully equipped with props and a large yoga wall. The room is full of light coming from the big windows and has a spectacular view over the hills toward the Mediterranean. In the mornings you get to wake up together with the sun in this beautiful space and absorb the magical atmosphere of the sunrise.

The excellent food is lovingly prepared from local produce, most of it grown organically on the premises and varying according to season. The menu is mainly vegetarian, with the addition of fish, if wanted. Allergies and food sensitivities are catered for. All the meals are just delicious! Simple, tasty, fresh, and made with love. I got so many new recipe ideas and lots of inspiration for my cooking.

We will have daily asana classes, meditation sessions, and talks. There will also be time to hike, swim in the saltwater pool, read or really take it easy, to rest and allow the yoga to take effect. You have the possibility to book massages and other treatments for an extra charge. Last year I took one heavenly massage and one very powerful singing bowl treatment.
