Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach that applies the principles of yoga to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Unlike traditional yoga classes, which are often designed for general fitness and wellness, yoga therapy is specifically tailored to address individual health concerns, injuries, and imbalances. This therapeutic practice integrates modern medical knowledge with yoga’s ancient wisdom, offering customized solutions for healing and long-term well-being.
As a practitioner of yoga therapy, I work with clients to assess their unique needs and develop individualized practices. These may include breathwork, targeted yoga postures, meditation, and other techniques designed to address specific health challenges—whether it’s chronic pain, injury recovery, or mental stress.
I am currently studying to become a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist under the renowned Yoga Medicine® program, which focuses on combining deep anatomical knowledge with therapeutic yoga applications. My training so far has equipped me with expertise in:
Yoga for Athletes: Tailoring yoga practices to enhance athletic performance, aid recovery, and prevent injuries.
Spine: Anatomy, Dysfunction, & Application: Understanding spinal health, common dysfunctions, and applying therapeutic yoga to support posture, relieve pain, and improve function.
Hip: Anatomy, Dysfunction, & Application: Addressing hip-related issues through yoga to restore mobility, alleviate discomfort, and promote joint health.
Through my ongoing education, I continue to deepen my knowledge of the human body and its complexities, allowing me to provide personalized therapeutic yoga practices that support recovery, improve movement, and enhance overall well-being. My goal is to help each individual find greater balance, strength, and healing through yoga tailored to their specific needs.
